Cute Vegan shirt design???

So basically I stumbled upon this site called Bonfire and randomly decided to make a cute vegan themed t-shirt. I’ve been wanting one but could never find one I thought was that cute or just nice looking… so I made one! And they both come in the two colors.

This is the link:

The one caveat is that in order for them to print it (and me be able to get one for a reasonable price unlike at darn custom ink), at least 5 have to be ordered. I already ordered one lol cuz truthfully that’s the only reason I set the thing up.

So if you wanna check it out, go ahead! I want them to get printed so I can have one hahaha x) To be honest I’m laughing at myself right now because this is so random but hey, they turned out nice looking!

Name Trauma (help me plz)

So I’m a fool… because I only just now realized that my bog name “A Little Vegan” is extreeemely similar to another, vastly more established and successful blog called “I’m a Little Vegan”.   :l

So now I’m stuck with the internal struggle of wondering if I should cut ties with my blag name and come up with a new one. This is sucky for multiple reasons…
1. I like my name and I think it’s cute
2. It took all the creative pun-making energy in my body and soul to come up with it but lolz at me I’m not original lol.
3. I’m not sure that I know how to/if I can change my blog’s name/domain name.
4. If I don’t change it I run the risk of being thought of as a plagiarist or just a general douche if people think I’m attempting to ride the other blogs coat-tails or there’s the possibility that if someone were to try to look me up, they’d find the other blog first and I’d have a harder time gaining readers.

Not to mention that I am a bit attached to the name already. I thought that it was cute and unique and fit since I am vegan and in fact little (I’m 4′ 11″). I guess I’ll just have to do some brainstorming to try to come up with a new name :/

If anyone reading this has any advice or name ideas I’d love to hear them in comments!

Spinach Protein Pancakes

Here is a go to vegan breakfast recipe that I love to help me get my greens and a bit of protein! It’s super easy and honestly who doesn’t love pancakes???

I use a custom protein powder I created with It was a good deal, plus it’s 100% customized and I really like the flavor it adds!

Non-dairy milk (I use soy)
Protein powder

Cooking Instructions:
It almost feels funny writing instructions because this is such a gloriously easy meal to make!

  1. To start get a medium mixing bowl and put in bisquick and protein powder in about a 4 to 1 ratio- so about a cup of bisquick plus a quarter cup of protein powder. You can alter this depending on how many people you’re feeding or how much leftovers you want.
  2. Mix those two ingredients together and set aside.
  3. In a blender, blend up about 3/4 cup soy milk (if you’re doing
    spinach milk.JPG

    I looove my ninja

the 1 cup + 1/4 cup of bisquick and protein powder) and about 3 big handfuls of spinach. Blend until completely smooth and liquefied. Again, these quantities and in “about” measurements because this is a super easy recipe to make by ear so to speak.

  4. Pour the spinach-milk in with the bisquick and protein a bit at a time until it becomes a good pancake consistency- still drips easily off of your chosen mixing utensil but is think enough it holds its shape for a moment when you stir it.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan or flat griddle to medium heat and pour circles of batter on to your desired size, flip once bubbles appear on the top.
  6. From there you can eat them with whatever sauces or toppings you like! I like to heat

green pancakes+ vegan butter+ smashed strawberries and syrup= so much yum

up and mash some berries and mix with syrup for an easy fruit syrup.

This is a really easy way to sneak in some greens and protein, you don’t even taste the spinach I swear! And also, I don’t really know why the Bisquick box even calls for eggs, the consistency of the pancakes turns out completely normal without them! You can also customize this recipe however you want by adding in berries or anything you want, I hope you try  it out one of these mornings!

You’re Vegan? What do you eat??

Sometimes I feel like I should make and carry around an informative pamphlet about “what I eat”. It’s usually the first or second question I get asked anytime someone finds out I’m vegan. I’m often stumped for a second, not for lack of ideas to tell them, but because I eat A LOT of things and it’s such a silly question to me. So maybe from now on I can just refer them to this blog post.

Here are *some* of my favorites of the many, many things I eat.

  • Kashi with soymilk
  • Bagel with mashed avocado and mayo (if I’m being fancy I’ll add vegan bacon)
  • Raison bagel with vegan butter
  • vegan pancakes
  • coffee (duh) with soymilk and maple syrup

  • burrito bowl with tofu
  • veggie burger with bbq sauce and avocado
  • bagel with vegan cream cheese
  • “oriental” flavor ramen with tofu

  • ramen noodles with peanut sauce and veggies
  • black bean burger with whatever
  • vegan amy’s pizza (if they were on sale)
  • veggie sushi
  • English muffin with smoked tofu, spinach, and bbq sauce
  • grilled not-cheese with tomato and basil

  • fruit
  • leftovers
  • to be honest I don’t eat snack often, usually just another entire meal

  • cashew or coconut ice cream
  • oreos
  • thin mintsss whaaaat (just found out those are vegan)

This is just a short list of quick meals off the top of my head but hopefully it gives a decent general picture.

Valentine’s Day (week)

v-day-dinner-pic-3Valentine’s Day was last week and I had super great 3-day long celebration of it. I know that it’s kind of just a made up holiday so that businesses can make more money but I like it anyway!

This year my Roommate and I hosted our first Galentine’s Day party and it was a blast! I was just sitting in a lecture class of mine one day around end of January and the idea popped into my head and so I immediately texted my Roommate Maddie and made an Facebook event haha.

To decorate, I just went nuts in the dollar store, to the point that it was almost embarrassing to checkout. Balloon bouquets, faux flowers, little lolly pops and the whole dollar store nine-yards. For the party I made little vegan spongecake cup cakes and they didn’t quite turn out how I’d planned/hoped but people still like them. There about 11 of us at the party, just a nice little gathering of friends and it was great. PLUS it was a white elephant party too so we all got little gift; I got a balloon animal set lol!

The next day was actual V-day and my boyfriend and I exchanged gifts first thing in the morning because he was so excited. I’m normally the kind of person who “wins” at gift giving but this time he totally had me beat. He got me a deep fryer! haha, people don’t expect me to be the kind pf person who would want one since I’m vegan and they assume I try to pay attention to health but no… that is not the case x) lol. I got him some fancy cigars and matching underwear for us… So I guess we both helped eachother get closer to an early death lolz at us.

We were busy that night with rehearsals so we just stayed in that night and went to dinner the next day. We went to a restaurant called Venti’s and it was delicious. I had a thai peanut rice bowl with garlic sesame tofu and a craft raspberry beer. My boyfriend, who isn’t vegan, had truffle Mac n’ cheese with bacon (and no beer because haha he’s a minor).

It was a super fun week though, I know maybe a galentine’s post may have been more useful before the fact to lend ideas or inspiration but oh well, I’m starting now, hope you like the low quality pics!
